With hundreds of student clubs, athletics teams, fraternities and sororities, and other opportunities, you’re sure to find your place at Frostburg State University.

You can choose from a variety of major organizations like the Student Government Association, Black Student Alliance and University Programming Council, as well as academic societies for many majors and a never-ending collection of special interest clubs, from creative writing to snowboarding to runway fashion.

Athletics

The Frostburg State University Bobcats compete in 22 varsity sports as members of the Division II Mountain East Conference, and our intramural and club sports offer something for the competitor in everyone.

Our Bobcat student-athletes are known for maintaining healthy GPAs and volunteering throughout the community.

Greek Life

FSU proudly hosts chapters of several nationally recognized fraternities and sororities. Getting involved is a great way to serve your university and community while building some lifelong friendships and connections.

Experience Service

Student volunteers at Frostburg provide over 40,000 hours of service each year, doing good for others by shoveling snow for the elderly, mentoring local grade-school youth, helping out with tax forms and caring for shelter animals, just to name a few activities. They are also passionate participants in major local and national events like Hunger and Homelessness Week, the Special Olympics, Beautify the ‘Burg, V-Day and Relay for Life.

Religious and Spiritual Engagement

Students from a wide range of faith traditions find a variety of ways to connect to each other and observe spiritual practices important to them.

We think your college years are about more than what happens in the classroom. It's about what happens inside of you as you figure out who you are, what you are capable of, and what you are meant to do in the world. We are committed to offering you a variety of opportunities that will help you explore these questions and you will find a safe place to ask questions, meet new people, engage in community action and ultimately grow spiritually.
